2		They're the same book.  The Golden Compass is the US title for Northern Lights, and is the name that has been chosen as the name of the film.  No image of the cover of the book with the film title and image on it was available, which is where the confusion arises.  When the film comes out, there will be an edition of the book called NORTHERN LIGHTS but with the subtitle something like: Now a major film, THE GOLDEN COMPASS.	Kate Wilson, Scholastic
